Any good ideas for thanksgiving games??????

We play music, and sit around just talking about the good old days.

My husband is currently on his 2nd tour in Afghanistan. Today he called me and asked if I could send some thanksgiving decorations for the tent that he works in (he’s an aid station medic). I sent Halloween decorations, and I was planning on sending Christmas but I have no clue what to do about Thanksgiving. I went to Target, couldn’t find anything, same with Wal-mart. I never decorate for thanksgiving so I’m kinda clueless on what would be easy and not too expensive to send. My husband is the only married soldier out of the guys he works with so I can’t get help with the costs from the other wives in the unit. But what type of decorations would work for thanksgiving? It can’t be in the way or too big?

Are you in area of the U.S. where the color of foliage changes in the fall?!
Send some leaves – Oak, Maple, Acorns,etc…..
find a basket shaped like a Cornucopia, fill it with hard candy, tootsie roll,etc…

I need a very good recipe to bring to my family thanksgiving dinner this year. I’m asked to bring a side, appetizer, or desert. If you have any great recipes that many people would like (that wouldn’t cost to much and isn’t exteremely difficult to make) I want to know them! THANKS.

No Bake Pumpkin Pie is my favorite. It is slightly modified from the original recipe (from Jello, I think), but everyone always loves to eat this easy-to-make pie.

Layered No-Bake pumpkin pie
4 oz. regular or low-fat cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. milk or half and half
1 (6 oz.) graham cracker crust pie crust
1 c. cold milk
2 pkgs. vanilla INSTANT (not cook&serve) pudding and pie filling (4 serving size)
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
whipped topping (Cool Whip or whipped cream)

Mix cream cheese, 1 tablespoon milk and sugar in large bowl with wire whisk until smooth. Spread on bottom of crust. Pour 1 cup milk into bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk until well blended, 1 to 2 minutes. (Mixture will be thick). Stir in pumpkin and spices with wire whisk. Put on top of layer or cream cheese in pie shell. Let this set for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Serve with whipped cream on top. Yield: 8 servings.

I’ve been working on my Thanksgiving Dinner menu. I’m still looking for beverage ideas. I’m looking for something that has no alcohol in it. I want something that isn’t sweet or tart. Preferrably something that is maybe green or red or maybe something minty. Does anyone have any beverage ideas?

Mulled cider, cranberry juice with sparkling water, Shirley Temple (Sprite and grenadine).

We are going to have roast turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, stuffing, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, mince meat pie. And what are some of your favorite holiday recipes? I need some new ideas!

Turkey Breast, Ham, Baked Mashed Potatoes w/Gouda Cheese, Three onion Stuffing with Herbs, scalloped corn, grape nut bread, zucchini bread, raspberry jello salad (everyone loves this), sauteed green beans with shallots and a variety of pies.
