Beverage ideas for Thanksgiving dinner?

I’ve been working on my Thanksgiving Dinner menu. I’m still looking for beverage ideas. I’m looking for something that has no alcohol in it. I want something that isn’t sweet or tart. Preferrably something that is maybe green or red or maybe something minty. Does anyone have any beverage ideas?

Mulled cider, cranberry juice with sparkling water, Shirley Temple (Sprite and grenadine).

Drinks: Non Alcoholic Minty Ginger Granny Smith Margarita
    Serves: 1

4 Granny Smith apples, cored but not peeled, then cut into chunks (you can use any apple, but Granny Smiths give the best green color)

A chunk of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

    4-8 sprigs of mint

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)

    Ginger ale

Push half the apples through a juicer, then the ginger, ginger ale, mint and lime juice, if using, then the remaining apples. Drink immediately.

    VARIATION: FROZEN APPLE MARGARITA

Put 1 cup crushed ice into a blender, add the juice, then blend to a froth. The margarita is ready when the sound of the motor changes — that means the mixture has risen away from the blades.

I believe its more so a light green but, you can probably add green food coloring!

    Ingredients:

    * 2 cups of pumpkin, chopped up into chunks
    * 2 cups of apple juice
    * ½ cup of pineapple juice
    * 1 teaspoon of honey (more or less to your liking
    * Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg and/or Allspice (all ground, to taste)

    Directions:

Step 1: Juice the pumpkin pieces by squeezing through a cheesecloth or using a juicer if you have one.

Step 2: Pour the pumpkin juice, apple juice and pineapple juice into a blender.

Step 3: Add the honey (we recommend you start with 1 teaspoon, as you can add some later!) to the juices and blend thoroughly.

Step 4: Add your spices (to taste). This might take some experimentation to get right.

Step 5: Chill your pumpkin juice or serve iced and enjoy!

Use organic herbal teas – come in all flavors and colors and make them iced! Also we like to add juices to them – like apple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice – not too much just to give them a diff flavor or color. You can also use striped candy sticks for stir sticks – they come in lemon, mint, etc. Very Festive! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Have you ever had the Boston Ice Tea at Red Lobster? They mix part unsweetened ice tea with cranberry juice. The amt. of cranberry juice would probably dictate the sweet/tartness of the drink. I love it. Mango flavored ice tea is very nice, too, and they tea bags are easy to find at a local grocery store. Might even check out the mint varieties, too. Strawberry lemonade or cherry limeades are nice, too. Here again, you can adjust the sweet/tart factor. Grenadine syrup might be useful (and red 😉 for you.

    Have fun!
