What are some games that my family and I could play together at Thanksgiving?
There will be a mixture of adults, teenagers and children. We usually play Rook, go to the movies as a group after dinner. I have 3 tours of our historic city lined up. But what else? I WILL choose a Best Answer in 24 hours. Think of something innovative. My family likes to play games!
Physical Activity:
The Turkey Bowl
Thanksgiving afternoons often involve a football game, so why not make football the theme of your party? Invite guests to come dressed for football. They can choose to be players, fans or cheerleaders. Decorate the table with football placemats or turn a helmet into a centerpiece. Use a football mold to shape stuffing and jell-o.
After dinner, let the games begin! Play touch football outside and have the spectators cheer on the teams. Hand out whistles and pom-poms to liven up the game.
or a Not So Physical Activity:
Everyone’s a Photographer
Hand out single-use cameras to the guests. Have them take pictures of the activities during the day. Afterwards, you can create a scrapbook or album using the various pictures.
For extra fun, include instructions with the cameras. Ask guests to build a pyramid, compete in a beauty contest by taking pictures, or come up with Thanksgiving-themed pictures. This way, you will have many laughs when the pictures are developed!
Happy Thanksgiving!

how to decorate for thanksgiving on a limited budget?
my family has thanksgiving dinner every year at my parent’s house, who i live with, and every year it looks the same: plain. (my mom isnt really big on decorations). this year i want to decorate the house and make it look really nice, but my mom is spending pretty much all of her extra money on food, and i am collecting unemployment, so with my bills i can’t buy hardly anything. what are some inexpensive ideas i could use to put that extra touch in my house for thanksgiving?
See the problem is now most dollar stores have all their Christmas items out. If you would have asked this right after Halloween you may have been able to find more things at the dollar stores. You can try the dollar stores. They may have some window stickies and some fall flowers and baskets. You can put some fall flowers and leaves into a small basket and there you have an arrangement. Look for some cheap figurines of pilgrims, indians, and turkeys.
Does anyone have good Thanksgiving recipes they can lend to me?
I’m 19 and my family’s been really indifferent towards holidays for a couple of years now. They resort to buying store-cooked turkey and other Thanksgiving foods, and I’m not a fan of doing that. I want to cook Thanksgiving dinner myself this year (for the first time). What foods does your family like, and what are the recipes for them? I’m making the following for sure:
-turkey
-mashed potatoes
-macaroni and cheese
-vegetables
What else would be good? Please help! I want to impress my family.

What games will your family play after Thanksgiving dinner this year?
My favorite is Sequence … I wish they’d make it into an online game.
Ooooh Sequence is ALWAYS a favorite @ my house. We also love card games, plain old charades, & animal charades. Trivial Pursuit & Scene It have recently been added to our competitive family Thanksgiving game traditions. lol
Decorating ideas for Thanksgiving?
I was asked to be the decorator for Thanksgiving, and I need some ideas that will impress. Thanks!
Lol…I was asking the same thing last week..
Everyone told me, thanksgiving decorations were really hard to find.. So, I’m doing a classy christmas decoration with no christmas tree just yet… Good luck!
You can try going to walmart they still have a couple of Thanksgiving decorations, very few… Or target…
If not go with the christmas theme as well… What i did was buy some metal chritmas trees that go on top of the fireplace, Autumn flowers, Scented candles (spice from Bath and body works) Some small tree decors for the walls, etc…
