what are some fun thanksgiving games for the little ones and the really old ones?
i am talking like to 2 to 95
We play trivia games like Scene It or Trivia Pursuit. If you make teams, the most senior and teen members of your family are able to contribute their knowledge – so nobody feels left out.
We also play "rise & fly", which is basically any card game where the winning team continues to sit at the table while the losers must "rise and fly" (get up an let another team sit try their luck). It’s fun and the trash talking is highly entertaining!
My aunt always has the football games on for the sports fanatics; her computer available for teens/20/30 somethings; video games; and coloring books/play doh for the youngest members (maybe pay an older child to watch them so the adults can relax?).
She and my uncle have like 100 tvs (lol jk) in their home (he’s an electronics fanatic!), so there’s always something to watch on dvd if someone doesn’t want to participate in any of the activities listed above or be bothered.
I LOVE THANKSGIVING because we can come together in love, enjoy each other’s company and EAT all day!
Decorating for Thanksgiving….?
I love Love LOVE the holidays! It starts with us decorating for halloween, then thanksgiving, and then of course the big one Christmas! As of right now I only have a few Thanksgiving decorations like place mats and a harvest center piece. I was just wondering what everyone else does to decorate for this holiday of family and giving thanks?
I’ve never decorated for thanksgiving because we’re always out whole day at our inlaws house which is alot of fun. I do decorate for christmas. Halloween I’m never home always out at parties.
Where can i get a recipe for thanksgiving dinner thats easy and kid friendly?
Im making thanksgiving diner this year and it’s my first time..so im a little scared….help! or if anyone has a recipe they would like to share…
thanks i would really appreciate it..
Turkeys and spiral hams are very easy to make in the oven. Both come with directions on how long to cook. With the turkey, just make sure you put in the fridge a couple days in advance so it isn’t frozen. The night before I like to season it. Then before I put in the oven, I stuff it with stuffing (I buy the prepackaged stuffing and mix in 2 cans of broth and celery, stir together, then stuff). It can take 5 hours or so depending on the turkey size.
Side dish options:
Green Bean Casserole (a couple cans of green beans, a couple cans of cream of mushroom, some French’s friend onions…there is a receipe on the friend onion can…and it’s delicious!)
Jello w/ fruit mixed in it topped with whipped cream
Baked Mac and Cheese
Wild Rice
Homemade dinner rolls
Garlic mashed potatoes
Homemade gravy
Pumpkin Pie, apple pie, blueberry pie, cherry pie
Cheesecake
Ice Cream
…are just a few options to choose from. And what is nice about some of these options is you can make a casserole the next day w/ some of the leftovers (like the stuffing, turkey, potatoes, and homemade gravy…yummy!)

What are your plans for Thanksgiving Eve?
Do you and your friends or family have any special plans for the night before Thanksgiving? What are they? Is it a tradition for you?
This year I am driving. I am take my husband to Louisiana to meet my father for the first time. The tomorrow morning I will be cooking everything for the first time. My mother usually does the cooking but she will be with her inlaws this year. So I am taking on two new chalenges this year. And I’m scared to death.
I hope you all have a beautiful thanks giving holiday! Be careful, be safe, and have fun! Take care!
