How should I decorate for Thanksgiving?

How do you set your table? What sort of center piece?

Fresh flowers in Autumn colors with candlelight. I love candle light for Thanksgiving dinners, it truely brings out the feeling of the season! Have fun with it!

I have this metal cornucopia that I put those small squashes in (mini pumpkins and such), I also add (fake) grapes in it. For my living room coffee table I have a candle plate with a candle surrounded by pine cones and (fake) autumn leaves.

Horn of plenty, autumn colored artificial flowers and leaves and twigs in a vase, autumn colored curtains, possibly some brown and red and gold streamers, a few wall ornaments that symbolize Thanksgiving, autumn or a country scene, wear an apron, set the table how a table is formally set, use your best plates and dishes, maybe have some long candles(autumn colors are nice), a nice tablecloth, I like to have music going while we eat and talk and argue, napkins on the plate to spread across the lap or stuff into the collar(these should be cloth napkins, if not, probably skip it), maybe a little paper sign that says something cute for Thanksgiving too….just a few ideas.
    Good Luck! 🙂

I would use yellow and orange and browns.I do this on a snowy white cloth but you can use whatever color you have.Center piece is a low flower arrangement of live flowers and a pair of candle sticks, then take small glittered or not, leaves and spread around the place settings, user the best of what you have doesn’t have to match set 2or3 candle cups around the table also.Done.I use paper Thanksgiving napkins and sometime heavy duty paper plates.I set spice or pumpkin candles around the house in a safe place and I am done.

I use a fat Christmas candle, with a plastic candle wreath around it. Have a shiny red tablecloth with matching napkins. Napkin rings with silver ornaments.

Set the table with my white on white china, ringed in platinum. Had these dishes for many years, and they’re very special. And my stemmed glassware, of course.

    Very simple, very festive.
