You can try this dip. It is pumpkin, so it is festive, too!

Sweet Pumpkin Dip

4 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 – 8ounce packages cream cheese, softened to room temp
1 – 30ounce can pumpkin pie filling
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger

Combine all ingredients and serve with vanilla wafers or gingersnaps. It even goes well with fruit.

Is there a specific treat you look forwards to on that day only?
And who makes it?

I love sweet potatoes too with marshmellow,butter and whatever else they put in it.
I personally don’t really know how to make them yummy but I do know the basics.

My moms sweet potato casserole, she is the only one who makes it like her and its only on holidays so i love looking forward to it.

My mom is making the traditional pumpkin and pecan pies so I kind of want to stay away from spice type cakes. I was thinking about some banana bread or even a pineapple upsidedown cake.

I make a rocky road ice cream pie every year and people it’s the first thing gone. If you want the recipe just add details. It’s simple and fast to make.

I am planning a Thanksgiving meal, but wan’t to do it in a less traditional way. I will be having people in and out all day, and don’t want a whole traditional Thanksgiving meal. What I want is small appetizers that are Thanksgiving inspired that I can bring out all day. Preferably things that can be made ahead of time.

Cute idea. Hmmm, I’m thinking turkey "bruschetta", toased rounds of bread with a piece of turkey, some wholeberry cranberry sauce and maybe some brie. Individual pumpkin and pecan pie tarts. Raw green bean crudite with herb dip topped with roasted almond slivers.
