Where can i get a recipe for thanksgiving dinner thats easy and kid friendly?

Im making thanksgiving diner this year and it’s my first time..so im a little scared….help! or if anyone has a recipe they would like to share…
thanks i would really appreciate it..

Turkeys and spiral hams are very easy to make in the oven. Both come with directions on how long to cook. With the turkey, just make sure you put in the fridge a couple days in advance so it isn’t frozen. The night before I like to season it. Then before I put in the oven, I stuff it with stuffing (I buy the prepackaged stuffing and mix in 2 cans of broth and celery, stir together, then stuff). It can take 5 hours or so depending on the turkey size.

Side dish options:

Green Bean Casserole (a couple cans of green beans, a couple cans of cream of mushroom, some French’s friend onions…there is a receipe on the friend onion can…and it’s delicious!)
Jello w/ fruit mixed in it topped with whipped cream
Baked Mac and Cheese
Wild Rice
Homemade dinner rolls
Garlic mashed potatoes
Homemade gravy
Pumpkin Pie, apple pie, blueberry pie, cherry pie
Cheesecake
Ice Cream
…are just a few options to choose from. And what is nice about some of these options is you can make a casserole the next day w/ some of the leftovers (like the stuffing, turkey, potatoes, and homemade gravy…yummy!)

Does anyone have good Thanksgiving recipes they can lend to me?

I’m 19 and my family’s been really indifferent towards holidays for a couple of years now. They resort to buying store-cooked turkey and other Thanksgiving foods, and I’m not a fan of doing that. I want to cook Thanksgiving dinner myself this year (for the first time). What foods does your family like, and what are the recipes for them? I’m making the following for sure:
-turkey
-mashed potatoes
-macaroni and cheese
-vegetables
What else would be good? Please help! I want to impress my family.

Interesting recipes for thanksgiving?

I’m tire of the old plan boring thanksgiving dinner like turkey mash potatoes , sweet yams, blah blah. Dose anyone have interesting new thanksgiving dinner/ recipes i could try? I also like do something new with my sweet yams beside adding brown sugar and nuts or marshmallows.
thank you everyone. keep on posting.

rosemary turkey. this stuff will change your life! it’s really that good! but one thing you should stick to is the mash potatoes and gravy…it tastes lovely with this,

Ingredients

12 pounds whole turkey
3/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste
Directions

Combine the olive oil, garlic, rosemary, basil, Italian seasoning, black pepper and salt. Set aside.
Wash the turkey, inside and out, pat dry. Remove any large fat deposits. Loosen the skin from the breast. This is done by slowly working your fingers between the breast and the skin. Work it loose to the end of the drumstick being careful not to tear the skin.
Using your hand, spread a generous amount of the rosemary mixture under the breast skin and down the thigh and leg. Rub the remainder of the rosemary mixture over the outside of the breast. Use toothpicks to seal skin over any exposed breast meat.
Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan. Add about 1/4 inch of water to the bottom of the pan. Roast according to the number of pounds your turkey weighs. This is usually 20 minutes per pound in a 325 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven. A meat thermometer inserted in the thigh should read 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) and the juices should run clear when pierced with a fork.

or fryed cajun turkey!
it’s great my dad would make it every year.
it’s dangerous but its worth it.

you need tony chachere’s turkey injector in creole butter,
tony chachere’s creole seasoning.
i’m not sure how he makes it, but i’m sure there’s a recipe some where.

Thanksgiving dinner recipes?

I’m making Thanksgiving dinner for the first time by myself this year. It will probably only be like 4 of us eating so I won’t be making a huge feast 🙂 I want the traditionals but maybe a twist of the original recipes. Any suggestion for the cranberry sauce, instead of just opening the can and putting it on the plate. Also my husband wants a salad…and I’m gonna have a turkey ( of course…lol ), stuffing, sweet potatos with the marshmellows, rolls…etc. Thanks everyone in advance 🙂

yes i found a simple recipe for jelly cranberrry sauces.. you simply mix it up with cool whip and miniture marshmallows its very yummy…………plus it looks a lot nicer too…i also wonder maybe if some walnuts might add a touch to it..
