I have to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year and I was hoping for some ideas on what to make?
What type of dishes are a part of this holiday? Thanks for any answers.
Just because I am a man doesn’t mean I can’t cook.

My family has changed it up over the years with Thanksgiving. One year Dad made duck, then there was the time my husband and his old room mate made cornish game hens and they each seasoned them to their liking. If you want turkey, try a wild turkey for a richer, deeper turkey flavor.
The sides are endless from stuffing with fruits and nuts to meats and sausages, bread vs. cornbread. This is certainly a personal preference. Go with flavor, and not too many ingredients, you don’t want to scare your guest.
Potatoes are your best friend at Thanksgiving. Mashed are always good for the gravy, but this year my husband and I are having an Au Gratin recipe. Roasted are always nice.
For other sides check out the website below.
Desserts, you must have plenty and a variety, do not have 3 or 4 pies. 1 or 2 is fine, but mix it up with some apple or peach turnovers, then there’s banana pudding, always a hit. Make some friut or pudding parfaits. A classic chocolate cake is also a must.
For all of these recipes and more go to http://www.foodnetwork.com They have so much to choose from it could possibly give you a headache.
Good luck, hope you and your guests have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
P.S. Try to buy and prepare as much as you can ahead of time, do not stress and don’t rush, it won’t kill anyone to wait a little. Also, don’t put out to many snacky foods or appetizers, they won’t have room for the main meal.
