Serves 4
500 ml Cream
4 Egg yolks
1 Whole egg
75 gms Sugar
Vanilla essence a few drops
6 tbsps Brown sugar
METHOD:
Heat cream in a pan till it reaches the boiling point. Set aside to cool. Place egg yolks and whole egg in a bowl, add sugar and mix. Cook over a double boiler till the sugar gets dissolved, taking care that the eggs do not get scrambled. Add egg mixture to the cream and mix well. Preheat oven to 180°C.Add vanilla essence to the cream mixture. Mix well. Strain the entire mixture into another bowl. Pour the cream mixture into six ramekin moulds. Take a tray, pour some water in it. Place the moulds in this water bath and place the tray in the preheated oven. Bake at 180°C for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Remove from oven. Take the moulds out of the water bath and let them cool down to room temperature. Chill in the refrigerator. Just before serving sprinkle a tablespoon of brown sugar over the set custard in each of the moulds and brulee it with a torch. Serve immediately.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!
I am baking a cake for part of thanksgiving dinner. Any ideas on what kind to make???
My mom is making the traditional pumpkin and pecan pies so I kind of want to stay away from spice type cakes. I was thinking about some banana bread or even a pineapple upsidedown cake.
I make a rocky road ice cream pie every year and people it’s the first thing gone. If you want the recipe just add details. It’s simple and fast to make.
What is a creative, kid-friendly Thanksgiving dessert?
I am headed to a Thanksgiving dinner with some friends. We’ll have the usual pumpkin pie and apple pie, but I have been asked to bring another dessert. Since there will be at least 8 kids under the age of 7, I wanted to make my dessert something fun that they would enjoy. Perhaps some fun cupcakes or cookies….but I would like ideas for decorating them to make them kid-friendly, fun and creative. Thanks!
I think cupcakes or cookies are definitely the way to go…thanks!….how about any creative ideas for decorating them?
These are fun & easy & kids love them
These delightful little turkeys, with chocolate and caramel bodies, striped chocolate cookie feathers, and candy corn beaks, make wonderful little treats for kids to make as place settings for the holiday table.
Ingredients
Microwave
Bag of candy corn (beak and eyes)
Bag of caramel candy squares (body)
Bag of Dove chocolate (base/feet)
Bag of striped chocolate cookies (tail and feathers)
Thanksgiving cupcake liners
Microwavable plate
Cooking Instructions
Unwrap a piece of Dove chocolate to use as the base of the turkey. Place it on a microwavable plate.
Unwrap a piece of caramel and stick on top of the Dove chocolate bar for the turkey’s body.
Take a piece of candy corn and push it down on top of the caramel (pointed end out). This will make the turkey’s beak.
Take another piece of caramel and push it down on top of the first caramel to make the head of the turkey.
Break off the little white tips off two pieces of candy corns and push them both into the top of the caramel for the turkey’s eyes. (see photo)
Take one striped chocolate cookie and apply to the back of the body to form the turkey’s feathers.
Put the turkey in the microwave for a about eight seconds just so that the candy and cookie can fuse together. (Watch this! Not too much time or it will melt.)
Place your turkey int the freezer for a few minutes to help it "set up" quicker.
Serve your tasty treat on Thanksgiving cupcake paper.
