What are you planning to have for Thanksgiving dinner?

We are going to have roast turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, stuffing, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, mince meat pie. And what are some of your favorite holiday recipes? I need some new ideas!

Turkey Breast, Ham, Baked Mashed Potatoes w/Gouda Cheese, Three onion Stuffing with Herbs, scalloped corn, grape nut bread, zucchini bread, raspberry jello salad (everyone loves this), sauteed green beans with shallots and a variety of pies.

The stuffing/dressing recipe is always a big hit. Find that at:

The jello salad is a hit with kids and adults:

My family is having a "Never Before" thanksgiving, where we don’t make anything we’ve made before, or at least not he way we used to make it. We’re deep frying the turkey, and my mom is making candied yams instead of sweet potato casserole. No one has ever made cobbler, so I think I’m going to make blueberry or blackberry cobbler. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to make green bean casserole in a new way, because it is my favorite.

We always have the traditional turkey. We have tons of sides. Check out my recipe for a new twist on green beans for Thanksgiving.

    YUMMY PUMPKIN CAKE-
2- 15 oz. cans of pumpkin
1- 12 oz. can evaporated milk
    2 tsp. cinnamon
1 pkg Yellow Cake mix ( I use Betty Crocker Super Moist)
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 cups Sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 cup melted butter
    1 cup nuts
Beat pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar and spices. Pour into ungreased 13"x9"x2" pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over pumpkin. Pour butter over top. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350′ for one hour- no longer. Cool. Serve with Cool Whip. (This is more the consistency of a stiff pudding, rather than cake.)

We are going to deep fry our turkey that has been injected the night before with cajun butter seasoning, mashed potatoes, gravy, cornbread dressing, rolls, pickled beets, green bean casserole, pumpkin roll and of course ice tea.
