What should I do for Thanksgiving dinner?

What should I do for Thanksgiving dinner? My mom is out of the country and she’s the person who always makes the food. I’m only a 12-year old so only simple recipes please. Oh, do you think I’ll be able to cook a turkey?

Call Wal-Mart and ask about their Thanksgiving pre-cooked meal. I think it’s only about $60 and has a turkey and a bunch of sides already cooked, and you just pick it up. Where is your dad, hon? He should be worrying about this, not you!

It’s not difficult to cook a turkey. Just follow the instructions on the package. All you have to do is take it out of the wrapper, take out the bag with the giblets in it, rinse out the inside of the turkey until the water runs clear, preheat the oven, put the turkey in a pan, put the whole thing in the oven, and bake it according to the instructions. If you have chicken broth, put a can or two in the pan and baste the turkey every half an hour or so and it’ll be nice and juicy. Add some Stove Top stuffing and/or some Potato Buds (both are very easy to make — just read the instructions) and you’ll have a nice dinner.

It is a pretty big job, will you have any help?

It is very late in the game to buy, thaw and roast a turkey. Plus make the side dishes.

You can buy the dinners all done at the grocery, they usually include side dishes and a pie. All cooked. Check a local grocery. Then you just have to arrange to get it picked up.

Or Get your family to go out for dinner.

Yes! it depends on the pounds and cooking instructions
are on the label,it’s simple just wash the turkey inside out with lemon or lime, use paper towels to dry the meat thoroughly
season with salt pepper and onion powder inside out,
then prepare the stuffing from Kraft turkey stuffing, following
the directions also on the back of the box, stuff the turkey,
put it on a baking rack or foil pan big enough to hold it, look
at the time table on the package the turkey came in for the
lenghth of cooking time as according to the pounds it weighs!
with that, mash potatoes and gravy, Heinz, is the best, and
a vegatable of your family’s choice, and Walla! it’s done.

    Happy Thanksgiving Darling!

By the way! If you’re not sure it’s done cooking by the time sugggested just stick a pointed end of a knife through the
breast, if it goes through smoothly then it’s done, but if it
sticks and is not going all way through the meat then it
will need more time. then check again to be sure it’s done.
Temperature for cooking Turkey is startin at 325 uncovered
if you cover it in foil then 350 for starters, you have to open the foil from time to time to cover it with olive oil or spray
butter. Open the foil for 30 to 60 minutes just before it’s
    finished cooking for browning.
